Windows NT/No Audio

Question
I recently lost all audio on my computer.  There is no sound when using a CD, no sounds from windows.  I've checked all the connections and run the diagnostics for the sound card.  I've reloaded the drivers and still cannot correct the audio.
My question is this:  I know there is a way within NT to retreave prior BOOTS that were successful.  How do I do that?  I think if I can retreave that information, I may be able to undo what's missing within windows.

Answer
I wouldn't suggest going to prior boots, as that isn't really all that reliable. Plus, you have to do it the very next time the computer boots up, as it only saves the previous boot sequence. Once Windows NT loads up, that becomes the last successful boot sequence.

Can you go to START > Settings > Control Panel > System > Device Manager and check to see that everything is working in there? Items that aren't working will have a yellow exclamation point or a red "X" on them.
