Windows NT - Icon Display

Expert: Chris Schuh - 4/27/2005

Question
When you open any folder you get the files and folders in icons. The default display is icon but I want them in list format. Everytime I open the folder I right click on mouse to select view option change to "list" from "large icon". Is there any option to customize it for "list" viewing?
Thanks
Windows NT 4.00.1381

Answer
Hi,

What you have to do is set up a single folder exactly how you want it (including list views). Then go to Tools > Folder Options > View and click the "Like Current Folder" button. That will apply your current folder view settings to all folders.

Cheers,

Chris
