Windows NT - gaining internet access

Expert: Chris Schuh - 11/13/2007

Question
Hi Saad.  God's peace.  Thanks in advance for your help.  I just installed NT server onto an old computer,  The problem seems that the OS does not have any drivers for the NIC.  The NIC is part of the MB.  I am used to plug n play.  How do I install the network card on NT?  Thanks again.  B.

Answer
Hi Bill,

You'd need to find the make and model of the NIC. Then, you'll need to go to a computer that can surf the internet and download the NIC drivers for the version of NT that you are running. Save them to a diskette or CD, then you can use that to install the drivers on the NT machine that actually has the NIC inside.

Cheers,

Chris
