Everytime I close explorer, I get this:

The instruction at "0x7c9105f8" referenced memory at "0x01850010". the memory could not be "read"

It doesn't seem to be affecting anything but it is annoying.  Do you know what it is or how to get rid of it?

Thanks--

Hi Randi,

What version of Windows are you using and also, is this "Internet Explorer" or "Windows Explorer?"

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris!  I am using Internet Explorer and Windows XP Professional 5.1
Answer -
Let's try re-installing Internet Explorer as our first step. You can do that here:

http://www.microsoft.com/ie/

Cheers,

Chris

I am not too technically inclined when it comes to the "behind the scenes" of my computer.  I went to this site and I found a like to install internet explorer 6 service pack 1.  It says a newer version is already installed and wont let me continue.  I'm gonna need baby steps if you'll be so kind =)
Answer -
Hi Randi,

Can you open up Internet Explorer and go to Help > About?

In there, let me know what the exact version of Internet Explorer you're using.

Cheers,

Chris

version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp. etc etc

Answer
Okay, let's try repairing your current installation.

Go to START > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

In there, find Internet Explorer and click "Change/Remove" next to it. Re-install it (or repair it if you can't re-install).

Cheers,

Chris
