Windows NT - searchportal takes over

Expert: Chris Schuh - 12/11/2004

Question
I am using explorer with NT and have had my browser taken over by searchportal.com. I have tried using spybot, ad-aware, spyblaster and evidence eliminater to remove it but it returns every time I start explorer. Can you please help me get rid of this monster.

Answer
Here's a link that might help you out with this:

http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6127-0.html?forumID=9&threadID=40206&messageID=4712...

Also, you might want to update Spybot and Ad-Aware. Some of my search results indicated that they should remove this for you.

Cheers,

Chris
