Windows Networking - GPO

Expert: Tim Fenner - 8/2/2008

Question
How to give permission to User for opening only specific application like "MS-office,MS paint,notepad etc." USING GPO in SERVER 2003?

Answer
Hello Ash,

There are two ways, using:
1. Software Restriction Policies
2. Don't run specified Windows applications

1. Software Restrictions Policies can be a little difficult to manage, but they offer the best controls: Computer-->Windows Settings-->Security Settings-->Software Restriction Policies
2. Don't run specified Windows apps --> User-->Admin Templates-->System

If you need further assistance, please post back.
