Expert: Hrire Mikaelian - 8/2/2008

Question
In server 2003 - administrative tools or MS excel or add\remove program is not open. Some time no any action and some time error is 'go to ctrl pannel and folder option then change file type'

Answer
Hi Ash

I'm not understanding clearly what the problem is, but if it happens when you run EXCEL and nothing opesn when you double click on the file name, then you want to do this:

1)  Double click on MY COMPUTER

2)  Click on TOOLS then FOLDER OPTIONS then the FILE TYPES tab.

3)  Scrool down to the extensions type XLS.  From there, select it and click on CHANGE

4)  You want to change it to Microsoft Excel then click on OK

Repeat this for other applications that giv you the error message.

I do hope this helps.
