Question Hi, I work for this non profit company and am stuck with how to fix the problem. Here it is.
I have a domain logon at our admin offfice, which is on the 10.192.128.0 network. Then I have this remote site that is on the 10.192.130.0 network. The remote site logs onto the domain, but I want it to still be able to communicate with eachother,the local lan, when the internet goes down and the vpn tunnel goes down between the two pix's.
Right now when the internet is off at the remote site, the computers can ping eachother on the local lan, but when I try to access the shared drive on one of the computers, it won't let me."
Is there a remedy that I can do to still have that connectivity at the remote site with eachother on the 10.192.130.0 network?
I mapped the computer name to the specific IP on the hosts file.

I'm trying to understand the problem. Do things normally work fine or are you in a situation where you are trying to set it up so that if the remote internet fails, you can still access the remote site?
If (when everything is normal), you can see everything then all is good. If you are trying to set it up so that if the internet drops, you can still connect to each other, I don't think that will be possible. The VPN that you have likely uses the internet and not a dedicated line to communicate. If you use the internet to tunnel the VPN through, then the remote site can only see itself and the local admin office can only see itself.
