Question
I have .AVI file that will not delete.  When I try to delete it vista tells me that it is trying to recycle the file 0 of 0 bytes, then just sits there doing that for ages.I cannot look at the file properties either. I have tried re-starting the computer but nothing.I use Vista Home Basic. Can you help me?

you need to take ownership of this file so you can delete it

take a look at this website

use method one , which is the easiest way.

after you take the owner ship , delete the file
