Expertise

I can answer most questions regarding hardware problems and software problems with Windows XP, along with some side knowledge for Windows Vista and Windows 7. This may include problems such as re-installations, Windows Recovery, finding drivers, hardware configurations, and the best setups for the physical components of your computer. I run a "modified" version of Windows XP dual-booted with Windows 7. This modified version of Windows XP allows for extreme cases of performance on even the oldest hardware. I can guide you to boosting the system's speed and help you find missing components for your computer. I will be able recommend better software alternatives as well.

Experience

Experience includes restoring several laptops and desktops from a non-working condition. With a collection of fourteen laptops and six desktops, these are the pieces of hardware that sit in working condition from the above statement, as well as others for the people locally around me. I have worked as a computer repairman as a side job for many people locally in the area and have yet to run into a displeased customer. Other experience includes soldering new capacitors onto the motherboards of desktops and using "Linux" distributions such as Ubuntu, Puppy Linux, Linux Mint, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Sli-Taz, etc.

Education/Credentials
Two years of computer related classes including "PC Support" and "Web Design". Another full year of computer related classes at college level (and still going) have been completed.
