Question I brought an ASUS A6jc notebook last year in boarding school (which is in Switzerland), one year later (i am now in the US) my OS is slow, and if i try to run a program it freezes, i had a virus, but i removed that, now i cant get past the start up screen, i want to format it but i have since misplaced the original XP CD, and i can't afford a new computer, so what do I do, can i somehow reset it to the state i got it in or maybe even format it without having to remove XP?
Answer Hi Tariq,
In these situations you will have to contact ASUS who will be able to provide you with a new XP CD or at least a set of rescue disks to rebuild your system. The only other thing is to buy another copy of XP which I am sure you don't want to do.
