About Jeffrey Bradley
Expertise
I can answer questions about Windows XP and 2000 that include installation, setup, how to do certain things with those operating systems (Some examples are un-installing drivers, creating limited accounts, etc.), I can also answer questions about securing wireless networks and most wireless router configuration questions as well. What I can not answer (at least not at this time), is how to write scripts in Vb Script or Windows Scripting Host format. NOTE: As of 3/29/2008, I have now finished college for my AS degree in Internet Technology! I am now a graduate of Keiser University and in case your courious, I ended up with a 3.6 GPA which means that I will be graduating with honors when I walk in May. (Cum Laude). It also means that responses should be a lot faster, too. :-) Thank you.

Experience
I have been with Windows since it first came out and involved with computers before Windows even came out (I had the commodore Vic 20). Here is a trivia question: What was AOL's original names from startup? A. Quantum Link for the Commodore computer systems, Pc-Link (DOS) and AOL (Windows). I have installed and configured several networks, wired and wireless, I also run Christian Computer Services (http://www.christiancomputerservices.info) where I do on-site local area service/tech-support calls and I also educate users in computer and family security.

Organizations
Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society

Education/Credentials
I am a student at Keiser University in Lakeland, Florida and will be receiving an A.S. Degree in Internet Technology next year and my GPA runs from 3.5-3.8.

Question
Hi
I have a Lenovo notebook N100, it was working fine untill one day... it gets stuck at the screen "windows is starting up..." but nothing happens after that. Once I tried booting through the safe mode, did nothing in there and just re-started the system normally and everthing was fine but then after a couple of days I have the same problem again and now nothing seems to be working, i can still go into safe mode though. Is there anyway you could help me to get rid of this problem.
I would hate to format my machine as I will loose a hell lot of data and work, I dont even have a recovery disk for my laptop, but Windows XP was pre-installed on my system and is a licenced version.
Personally I am not very familiar with IT terms so please consider me as a complete layman while to reply to my question.
Thanx
Adi

Answer
What you can try doing is going into safe mode, go to start>run type msconfig then click the startup tab, uncheck everything that loads at startup and try to start normally, if it works, re-enable one entry at a time and restart, when it gets stuck again, you will know the program that is causing the problem.

That's all I can think of for now.
