About Ray Barham
Expertise
I can answer just about any question that there is when it comes to anything windows related. I have been a computer technician for about 7 years now and I have the knowledge and experience to provide very detailed answers to situations that may be common, everyday problems or issues that the tech at the local best buy couldn't answer.

Experience
I have been in the computer industry for 7 years. In my years in this field, I've served as a computer technician, a consultant, a network engineer, a salesman and both inside and outside technical work.

Organizations
I am the owner / operator of Xtreme PC, located in Elkhart, IN. We specialize in computer repair for a fraction of the cost. We have developed a way to get a computer fixed and shipped back to the customer for less that the local shop in their city would be able to do it for. And we have a 4 business day return policy.

Education/Credentials
I completed all the course to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, but I stopped after the first test because I found that I wouldn't make any more money with all 7 test completed as I was making with one

Past/Present Clients
I used to be an expert here. I just got so busy that I couldn't keep up with the amount of questions

Subject: Installing SATA drivers

Question
I recently submitted a question re a fresh install of Windows XP SP.2 onto a SATA drive that I installed in my Wintel desktop. Upon beginning the install process, I followed your instructions to press F6 to install the drivers for the SATA drive (which I have on CD-ROM from the manufacturer).  Apparently, it wants a floppy disk, and the floppy drive for this unit hasn't worked in some time.  Is there another option?

Answer
Bryan,

You can create a streamline cd with the appropriate files on the same disk as the windows installation that you're performing.  It's little tough, but you can do it.  Here's a link
