Windows XP - Printer problem Windows XP

Question
Saad,
I have a HP Photosmart 7260 that is printing 1 page every 15-30 min. A Lexmark Z22 that has both the on/off and second button flashing and will not print at all.

I have defragged, run virus and Ad-aware, have SpyBot and checked spooling. Nothing works.

I downloaded an embroidery digitizing program SophiSew.com just before this happened. Also could it be a Windows update?

Hello Jo,

most of the time it is a driver fault or problem try to uninstall the hp photosmart driver from "add remove programs" and reboot your computer and try reinstalling the driver again

also sometimes it could be the cables it self , if it is a USB cable try replacing the cable with a new one , also try plugging the usb cable on another usb port.

also the same goes for dot cables , the cable could be damaged try replacing it.
