Subject: How to avoid opening screen

Question
The Windows XP Home Edition on my desk top computer reverts after a few minutes of non-use in any program to a Windows XP opening screen requiring, "To begin, click your user name".  I don't mind doing this once when I log on, but it is annoying and time consuming to have to do this repeatedly during the day.  Is there a way to avoid this?

Thanks

Answer
Hello Bob how are you doing

It could be two things ..

1.Screen saver. May be password protected. you need to uncheck this option from display properties
goto control panel -> display -> screen saver ->and uncheck on "resume password protect"

2.Power management. See "prompt for password when computer returns from standby" on Power Options control-panel applet and disable it.

if you need more help feel free to contact me back
take care and good luck.
