Question Hello, just recently my computer crashed (went into a blue screen said it had some error and was dumping physical memory) and when it finished dumping and i shut it off and tryed to restart it goes through the start up procedure just past were it says MS Windows with a sort of loading bar flashing then it comes up with a blue screen and tells me that I have a stop error
Stop: C0000221 {bad image checksum} the image msasn1.dll is possibly corrupt. the header checksum does not match the computed checksum.
How can I get my computer to turn on long enough for me to replace this file? Or is there another way to fix it short of restoring my computer using the recovery cd? using the cd isnt really an option because there are important files which I need to retrieve first.I have tryed using my toshiba recovery cd as a plain boot cd but it immediately wants me to erase my hard drive. I do not have a windows xp disc. I have already attempted using safemode and downloading the .dll file and trying to boot it to no avail. If you are unable to answer this please decline and not put it in the question pool
