windows Vista and XP questions please but I will answer win 2000 as well. If your system is older then that, then your problem is your operating system is just too old to be using on the internet!

Question hi,
i have tried to eliminate the need for a log-in password for my xp system. i checked the box to not require a password. now during start up, the window prompt appears to login and an old user name appears and immediately windows gives me a message that the password is invalid but windows attempts to start (showing "Windows is starting up.." screen but then nothing happens. How do i get windows to start?
Answer Hello,
I'm not sure where it was you checked to 'not' use password, because I am not familiar with any place like this. If you do not set a password then the only thing you need to do is use a program like 'x-setup' to tell the system to autologin. What I suggest you do is visit my website at http://tpsconsulting.com and read the TIPS page on OPTIMIZING your computer. THen go to the SOFTWARE/SUPPORT page where you should install all the programs from the PINK section as they will help with the cleaning/removal and ongoing maintenance from the spwyare/malware issues as well, the x-setup program as mentioned, will allow you to set the auto login.
