Question
Hello and good day. Keep the good work up and stay blessed.
I bought a new Compaq laptop and just putting it on for the first time, the memory went dead. a friend formatted it and i had to reinstall windows vista. Now, when he installed the Vista, under the system information, i see the manufacturer of the machine to be DELL. My Friend then says, its an original Dell vista CD. but THe system says i have 3 days to activate or windows will stop working. I am concerned about the Dell information i get. Is it normal. and if i should use the original keys behind my laptop, will it solve the activation problem. ANd if yes, What happens when, maybe there is system failure and i i install another Windows Vista and it asked for activation, can i still use the same key after using it once already? Please Urgent. Thank you VEry Much

Answer
Hello hope how are you doing
oh the oem logo its not a big deal , you can activate using the serial that you have it labeled on your machine if it matches the version for example if the serial is for vista ultimate then you can only activate a vista ultimate copy not a vista business copy or vista home basic or home premium

yes you can use the serial as much as you want if you are using it only on the same machine "1 pc/laptop" if you try to use the serial on another machine which in the case you will have two machines running windows vista using the same serial , microsoft will block your serial and it will be black listed

if you need more help feel free to contact me back anytime

take care and have a nice day.
