Windows XP - WinXP Home cannot find drive G:

Expert: Lorry - 10/29/2009

Question
After last reboot, cannot find my external HD.  Have no idea what happened.  Saw it this morning

Answer
Hi Paul,

The first thing to do is to make sure the connection is secure. Check out the following for information:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/find-your-missing-usb-drive-on-windows-xp...

Microsoft explains A computer that is running Windows XP cannot detect a USB flash drive, an Apple iPod, or an external hard disk drive at:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925196

Hope this helps!
Lorry
