Windows XP - Windows XP service packs

Expert: Lorry - 10/31/2009

Question
Hello Lorry.

Do you know how find out what service pack number I have in my XP operating system.  I want to install a new software package but instructions say I must have at least service pack 2 and preferably service pack 3.

Thanks.

Robert

Answer
Hi Robert,

An easy way to find out is to double click My Computer, the click on View System Information on the left side of the screen, under the General tab you will see that and more information.

Another way would be to go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information.

If you do not have SP3 installed, I would strongly suggest downloading and installing it ASAP.

Hope this helps!
Lorry
