Windows XP/sound/audio problems

Question
Hi my name's joydeep
i recently formatted my computer of all data because it had become too slow.
after formatting i discovered that i could not play any songs.
i went to control panel and it said that no audio system is installed.
although whenever there is an error for anything like this file is not found or something like that, i can hear a beep.
please help me to regain my audio/sound system.

i am using windows xp professional

You need to install the latest system software and drivers.  The audio driver is the one you are talking about now, but they are all important and can cause problems later if not updated.

Downloading Drivers

Go to your system manufacturer’s website, Compaq.com, Dell.com, HP.com, IBM/Lenovo.com, etc…
Click Support and look for Downloads or Drivers
Enter your system information and OS
Download the latest drivers
Note: Some of these sites keep a physical list so you may need to sort by Newest First and then keep track of the drivers you download.  This is because they may have updated video drivers 3 times and you just want the latest.
