Question I was having some problems other than this. Computer freezing, acting strange. Did scans for virus and spyware and found nothing. So i did a recovery and format drive to start from beginning. My problem is when i right click and change my theme it resets it self back to windows xp theme like every other day now. never did this before...
Can you help me
Thanks
Craig
Answer Hello Craig,
The registry entry responsible for the windows themes in your drive seems to be confused or rather a bit out of focus. Please do the following:
STEP 1
1-Go to "My Documents"
2-Click on "Tools" and scroll down to and click on "Folder Options"
3-Click on the "View" tab
4-Scroll down to and uncheck on the "Hide extensions for known file types" option
5-Click on OK
6-Minimize "My Documents" folder
STEP 2
1-Now click on the link below and once the pop-up window shows up right click and select open with Internet Explorer.

2-Save on Desktop
3-Locate file
3-Double-click on it and proceed adding onto the Registry.
STEP 3
Maximize "My Documents" folder
Repeat STEP 1 above but NOTE line 4 (This time you are checking the option).
I hope the issue has been sorted. More or less it would be even safer and advantageous if a scan is performed in case there are any underlying infections. Please click on the link below to download, install and scan your machine for those malicious PC/LAPPY bacteria
