About Michael Tedeschi
Expertise
I can pretty much answer any question related to PC`s. My ratings speak for themselves. All I ask is that you ask the question in English.....I do not understand gibberish and I will ask you to resend the question if I cannot understand it. I will do the best I can answering your questions. I've been working with computers for well over 20 years.

Windows XP - Opening PPS files in Outlook Express

Expert: Michael Tedeschi - 11/4/2009

Question
When I receive a PPS file in Outlook Express and click on it, I get a message that says there is no program associaated with this type file.  If I save the PPS file to desktop it opens from there with no problem.  I just have the PPS reader.  Is there some way to create the association between the reader and Outlook Express that will allow these to open there?
Thanks
Richard

Answer
Powerpoint files usually do this.  With Outlook Express, there really is no way to associate the file to open immediately.  If you want to try something out, upgrade to Mozilla Thunderbird.  You might have an easier time opening them from a non-Microsoft product.
