Question
Hello,
I am using XP with 5 accounts set, and one day i found that whenever i choose any account to log on it says windows preparing setting then it logs off automatically, so i have no access at all, i trid the safe mode but still the problems persists.
what can i do

Answer
Hello,

It sounds like you may have been infected with a virus which has corrupted your registry for your account settings.. I suggest trying the 'windows repair' first to see if this solves the problem and then be sure to complete all available windows updates if it is successful.

To do this windows repair, visit my website at http://tpsconsulting.com and read the TIPS page.. .the tip is labled 'various windows xp tweaks'

Once you have managed to get things working again, go back to the TIPS page and read the OPTIMIZING tip and after that, visit the SOFTWARE/SUPPORT page where I suggest installing all the programs from the PINK section as they will help with the cleaning/removal and ongoing maintenance from the spyware/malware issues that cause so many problems and slowdowns including what problems you are currently having.

Hope this helps,

Sincerely

Mike Dacre
