Windows XP - deleting files

Expert: Lorry - 6/27/2009

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
It seems a starnge problem: I cannot delete a file (mov. clip) and get the message: "Can't delet it. It is being used by another person or program." Of course no prgram is using the file. What should I do?

ANSWER: Hi Nawd,

Try rebooting Windows and see if you can remove the file. If that doesn't work, try starting Windows in Safe Mode by tapping the "F8" on startup until you get various ways to start Windows, choose Safe Mode, you should be able to remove it. If not, let me know and we'll take it from there.

Hope this helps!
