Question
This keeps coming up on my screen [ cannot fined file "flash ocx"]

Answer
Hello Cecil,

This is a very common error that randomly occurs when a particular Windows Update initiates a conflict with the Flash-player plugin installed on the hard-drive of a particular machine. This can also occur if a third-party Screen-Saver is about to initiate. But there is a way around it but select wisely from the options below before proceeding:

1-Have you got any Custom Installed Screen-savers besides the original ones that come with Windows Operating System?

If answer is NO, please click on links below to download Adobe uninstaller and latest version Flash Player

Link "A" for uninstaller.

Link "B" for latest Flash Player version.

If answer is YES, please proceed to next question.

2-Have you assigned your custom installed Screen-savers as the default Screen-savers? If so then, please do the following;

-Click on Start then RUN and copy and paste the line below
C:\Windows\System32\Macromed
-Click OK
-Look for the file beginning with flash and ending with.ocx
-If the file reads as flash10.ocx then rename it to flash.ocx
-Confirm changes by clicking OK

Finally restart to apply changes and if symptoms persist then follow instructions 1.
Click on link "A" to download and run uninstaller

Click on link "B" to download and install latest Flash Player version.
