Question This is not your Sauterne. It is from Medoc, and says bordeaux red wine.

Answer Hi Garry,
This La Tour Blanche was forced to drop the "La" with effect from the 1991 vintage because of confusion with the Sauternes of that name; it is a Cru Bourgeois from St-Christoldy-Medoc, made from 45% Merlot, 4o% Cab Sauv, 10% Cab Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
It has a good reputation for what it is but your bottle is now very old to open with confidence. Sorry!
