Question My daughter found this bottle deep in a cabinet in her apartment. What should we do with it, Drink I, Pitch It or is it possibly worth something? Any suggestions?
The number on the bottle is 4010770
Answer Dawn,
Even though it was once a very good bottle of Champagne, it's unlikely that it is still good. For a bottle like that to mature properly it would have to have been stored in ideal conditions (52-58 deg. F, 50% or higher relative humidity lying down in the dark). It can't hurt if she wants to try it, but she should expect to be pouring down the drain. Pity.
