Whats a good food to go with Malbec? And what about cheese to go with it?

Hi N

Well, let's begin with where Malbed grows best, and that's in Argentina.  And with their Malbec they like to eat rich red meats...preferably beef, and not too well done.  SO that's what I am going to suggest.  A nice steak, or even short ribs, will go great with it.

As for cheeses, I like to think of Malbec as being a little bit like Port--it has some of the same rich fruit flavors and even a bit of sweetness in the mouth.  SO I would suggest a nice blue cheese that is medium bodied--perhaps a bit lighter than one that you would drink with Port.  Hope that helps!
