Question
Are any of these wines NOT a desireable wine to drink since they are older in age.  I know that some wines are better with age, but I have heard some are not  I do not want to serve to guests (friends and family)if it is better not to.  Thank You!!  I am not a wine expert whatsoever so I dont know the good from bad!  Look forward to hearing from you.  The wines I have are the following:
2001 Conundrum White Table Wine
1996 Columbia Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
1998 Sun Angel Chardonnay
1997 Beaujolais-Villages Louis Jadot Red Burgandy Table Wine
1999 Gallo of Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
2003 Charles Shaw Merlot
2003 Charles Shaw Chardonnay
1998 Woodbridge Califonia Chardonnay
1996 Ernest & Julio Gallo Sonoma Frei Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Thank You again soo much!

Answer
Hi  Dorothy

Let's break them into two groups--all of this predicated on the basis that they have been stored properly---cool and dark--and not under the sink in the kitchen.

These are probaby still pretty good, although they will be showing less fruit and more complexity than a more recent vintage:

1996 Columbia Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
1999 Gallo of Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
2003 Charles Shaw Merlot
1996 Ernest & Julio Gallo Sonoma Frei Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

And these are probably past their prime.  That doesn't mean they will hurt you--they will just taste tired and old.

2001 Conundrum White Table Wine
1998 Sun Angel Chardonnay
2003 Charles Shaw Chardonnay
1998 Woodbridge Califonia Chardonnay
1997 Beaujolais-Villages Louis Jadot Red Burgandy Table Wine

Hope that helps!
