Wine/sparkling wine

would it be possible to use a SodaStream machine to turn a still wine into a sparkling wine? And if not, why not? Thanks, Paul

Yes but it would not taste like sparkling wines that you're used to. The methods used to make most sparkling wines, particularly the champagne method, are very refined. They are carefully honed to create effervescence that's delicate and well integrated with the wine. Your SodaStream machine will make a wine that's bubbling over like soda pop with a distinct aroma of CO2. If that's ok with you then be my guest.

I can answer most any question about wine- types, styles, grape varieties, regions, vintages, proper storage, production, wine and food pairing, wine service, decanting, proper glassware, serving temperatures etc. Regarding questions about specific bottles of wine, since I live in the U.S. my focus is on wines imported here. I can't answer questions about spirits and liquor valuations.
