The Asia Gardens Restaurant in Lynnwood Washington sold Fu Jin wine on their menu but they went out of business in the 80's and I have not been able to find the wine since. It was a very good table wine.

LOL.. it's not "Madera" wine.

Madera is a town in the San Joaquin valley of California. The San Joaquin is not "wine country" as you may think of it.. it's were Gallo and all the cheap wines bottle jug wine from the surrounding hundreds of thousands of acres of wine grapes. Fu Jin is fruity.. goes exceptionally well with spicy Chinese food. I cant find a recent reference to Rancho Yerba Buena Cellars in Madera now.

There used to be a Chinese restaurant in Eureka CA that had Fu Jin - back in the early '80s.

I have a tattered old Fu Jin wine box, also presumably from the 1970's. It reads "Fu Jin   White California Table Wine   Alcohol 12% by Volume   Papagni Vinyards   Madera, California, U.S.A.

I have 40 year`s experience tasting, collecting and enjoying wines as an amateur enthusiast. Bordeaux and Port are my particular loves and I regularly buy and sell at auction. I have a good library and frequently participate in on-line discussions. I can only help with valuations, buying or selling if you tell me where you live as there are many variations around the world.

I would not feel confident answering questions on German wines or those of the USA, South Africa or Australia. But please check my prestige rating and browse "Browse Past Answers" at the top of this page to see if I'm the one you want to help on everything else! (PLEASE don't forget to tell me where you are if you want my estimation of value or help buying or selling!)

I also participate regularly on several other discussion groups.
