Do FTP will allow Faster Downloading and uploading files from
Servers then using Remote Desktop Protocol ?.

As a example if a file say 5 MB size has to be uploaded or downloaded from server then it will take less time for downloading and uploading files using FTP then using RDP ?.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks & Regards,

Answer
Hi

FTP or file transfer protocol is based on ACK and NACK. it means that for transferring a packet, destination send OK or Not OK for GBR(guarantee of Bit Rate). this mechanism takes the speed of transmission slower than UDP(User Datagram Protocol) which is one way transmission and source doesn't wait for ACK from destination.

RDP is based on the UDP then, the speed of transmission is faster than FTP.
