Question HI I am 33 years old 5 foot 2 and weigh 125lbs. I have just begun an exercise program in my basement. I have an elliptical trainer that I use for 20 at a time right now. I also workout with the gunnar peterson core secrets training videos. I do weight training at least 3 times a week with an olympic home gym set. My question to you is that what vitamins and or protein mix should I be taking in addition to working out. Since now I seem to be more hungry and tired since I started this. I have been doing this only 3 weeks now. Thanks.
Answer Hi Stef,
Thank you for your question. Are you eating breakfast? That is the most important meal of the day.
The vitamins that I recommend that you take are ones specifically made for active women.Check GNC or Vitamin World or any nutrition store in your area.Any protein drink from a vitamin shop will be sufficient for you, there are many brands of protein-Muscle Milk,BSN,Muscle Tech,Generic Store Brand. My personal preference is GNC 100% Whey Protein. You want to drink a protein drink within 20 minutes after working out-consume 20-30 grams at a time.
The best foods that are high in protein are:lean turkey, chicken, and tuna. Make sure that you drink plenty of water-at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Thank You,
Bonnie
