Women`s Health/Spotting after D&C

Question
Hi,  I just wanted to find out if I need to be worried about my period not starting and carrying on as normal. My cycle has never been normal since I started my period in standard six, I went to go and see my gynea as my husband and I would like to start a family.

However when I went to see her I was having a period it had been continuous +- 7 weeks when I saw her the following week I  had a D&C 24th August and I was told that the bleeding should stop after about three days of the D&C.

I had to go back to the doctor after 7 days as my period was still continuing, I was then given tablets to stop the bleeding as it was quiet heavy.

I did however start bleeding on the 25th September however that only lasted for about 2-3 hours and then stopped that what like a black discharge.

Everything seemed to be fine until last Saturday when I started bleeding which was like a normal period however again it did not last long on the Sunday it was the same but it started with the black discharged and has continued to be the same for the past week now.  Like I mentioned it is only for a few hours a day.

I have also been having a few stomach cramps,  Is this something that I should be worried about?  Am I maybe pregnant and just don't know it?  I just don't want to find out that I am pregnant and harm the little one.

Please could I ask for your advise on this,

Kind Regards
Joy

Answer
Dear Joy,

Such a lovely name but a disruption in your cycle can mean many things which you will need to go see a doctor to make sure nothing serious is going on. I am not able to tell you anything but there is something happening in your body that you need to pay attention to and get looked at.
