Question
Recently I have been getting my period every two weeks.  I also have been getting sicker than normal on the first day of my period.  Is this a sign of a problem?

Answer
Hi Amelia

Any abnormal uterine bleeding should be checked out by your doctor to see if there is a medical reason for the frequent periods.

Abnormal bleeding has a number of definitions, the simplest of which is, "all bleeding that is not normal."

Abnormal bleeding includes:Too frequent periods (more often than every 26 days).

The frequent periods can be caused by many thing including a hormonal imbalance.  The best thing to do is get an appointment with your doctor right after your next period.
