Hello Catherine,

I have used the birth control pill Mircette for ten years.  My husband and I are ready to start a family, so I stopped taking the pill on 1/5/2006.  My question is how long should it take for my period to be regular and should we wait to try to conceive?  Also, what is the likely hood that I could be pregnant now since we did nothing to prevent since 1/26?

well i hope you talked with your GYN dr.,before taking yourself off the pill.

it will take sometime for your body to adjust to not having the hormones in your system,so you may  not have a period for awhile or you may just have spotting. its really hard to say,each women is so different with there chemical make-up,etc ;

now you could get pregnant any time,even if you dont have a period.
its hard to say when it will happen.
