Question i sanded my floor it is oak and i used miniwax finish on it it was a semi gloss can i use for last coat a high gloss or would it react wrong and haze up on me
Answer Hi Ed, no it won't "haze up", but I wouldn't recommend using a High Gloss on a floor. Not only is it dangerous because it's slippery, but as it wears, the difference in the gloss levels will be noticeable. Each coat of the poly has only a mechanical bond to the next. You should stay with the gloss level you started with throughout the whole job. A high gloss wood floor has a certain look that's not all that appealing as well, and will cause any imperfections to be more noticeable. Hope that helps- post back if need be- regards- Greg
