Question There are 1200 students at Kings Middle school. Each student at Kings take 6 classes a day. Each class at Kings has 30 students and 1 teacher. Each teacher at Kings teaches 5 class a day. The teacher has 1 free period for planning. How many teachers are there at Kings Middle school?
Answer 1200 students
6 classes per day
30 in the class
1 teacher
5 classes per teacher per day
1200 students/30 students = 40 classes per hour
40*6 = 240 classes per day
240 classes per day/5 classes taught per day = 48 teachers
40 teachers teach every hour leaving 1/6 of them to take their daily free period.
