- Earning Vacation time

Hello:

An employee earns vacation time as follows:

0.0923076 of an hour for each hour in pay status

How many hours of vacation time does he earn in one week working 40 hours?

Is this calculation correct?

(0.0923076 hour)/(1 hour) X (40 hours)

I want to see how the units cancel so that the answer is in hours.

I thank you for your reply.

Yes, but the units are wrong.

The rate is $.0923076 / hour.

There are 40 hours / week, so multiplying by 40 hours / week would cancel the hours and leave dollars/week.

To get and answer in hours makes no sense. There needs to be a time with that.

For example, 8 hours / day, 40 hours / week, 2,000 hours / year , etc.
