Question
Please help me solve the following problem:
A boy leaves Arizona at 11:20am and travels by train to New York at 72km/h. He spends 2 hours in New York and then returns to Arizona by bus at 40km/h and at 15:15am. How far does it take the boy to travel from Arizona to New York by train, if the bus route is 2km longer than the  train journey?

Answer
I gather you meant ""How LONG does it take to travel..."  not "How FAR does it take to travel..." -- yes?

Also, you have that the boy gets back to AZ at 15:15 AM??  What is 15:15 AM???  15:15 would be 3:15 PM...
is that what you mean?  Is this the same day, or the next day?  Please clarify!
