Question My spouse recently got diagnosed with carpal tunnel because of repetitive actions at work. His employer said he can go for workmans comp, but wouldn't receive anything for 90 days. Is this accurate in the state of Pennsylvania? It seems a bit ridiculous since the money needed is to compensate for the paychecks not received due to being out of work.
Answer Hi Michelle and thanks for writing,
According to Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Law:
Waiting Period For Comp Benefits After Injury: 7 days. (No waiting period for scheduled injuries.)
Compensation is retroactive if disability continues for what period of time from the date of injury? 14 days or more
