Question
My husband had surgery twice when working for a meat packing company (carpal tunnel) now he has some spine injuries and it could be related to the job he had.  He had this job 20 years ago but hasn't been there since his surgery.  They let him go after his 2nd surgery.  Can we go back on this company if the doctor says it could be related to this job?

Answer
Hi Melanie,

I seriously doubt it as I think even if you tried, they would argue you can't prove the injury is due to work he did decades ago, they'll argue he didn't complain then so it's most likely due to things he's done more recently.

I hope he's okay and recovers quickly,
Margot
