Worker`s Compensation - workmans comp

Expert: James Saylor - 6/12/2007

Question
If you're on workmans comp due to a work related injury, is it legal for the company you work for to lay you off?

Answer
In Utah you cant be fired. Unless you are released by the doctor you would still get paid the same wages. SO it would do the company no good to lay you off. If the doctor released you but you went back with limitations then yes they have that right. Can you tell me what happened?
