Question
HI Stacey

My question is, i am working in an organization as a software quality analyst, i interact with many people here and after talking to them with in a few minutes i forgot what they said to me and leaves me in a confusion state. where actually i am doing a mistake, is it listening or misinterpreting or some other thing. i dont think so i have memory loss.

i dont like asking the same thing with the people again and again, what are the measures i should take while listening and talking to them

bye

Answer
Hi Victor,

You might purchase a small spiral notebook that you can carry in your pocket along with a pen or pencil.  When you are talking with a colleague about something, grab your notebook and jot down the key points of your discussion while you are talking.  To dos, requests, etc.

When you get back to your desk, you will have the summary of your conversation in writing for reference.

I understand your frustration, I too interact with many people all day long, I find if I write things down I don't have to go back and follow up.  If I fail to write the items down...I have to go back.

Your are probably a highly visual or tactile (touch) learner.  The act of writing and seeing the discussion will help you to remember and perform effectively.
