Answer
Hi, greetings from Brazil!

As far as I understood, you are talking about Native South American Music, probably the music from the Andes, tipically from Bolivia, Peru and part of Argentina.  I recommend you to look for these singers and groups:

*Atahualpa Yupanqui - an Argentinian singer and composer; Mercedes Sosa has a precious album dedicated to his work;

*Raíces de América - a Brazilian group formed by people from many different South American countries, dedicated to Native South American Music and Brazilian Popular Music;

*Susana Baca, Eva Ayllón, Chabuca Granda - Peruvian female singers whose work is mostly Native and African-descendants music - sublime!

*Natalia Barrionuevo - a young Argentinian singer, mostly Argentinian folk songs;

*Hijos del Sol, a Peruvian folk group.

You may also look for Bolivian and Peruvian folklore.

Best regards,
Robertson

Expertise

I am able to answer mostly about some Portuguese-spoken countries` music, i.e., music from Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde. I can also answer questions about World Music in general. Some of the groups and singers I can certainly talk about are Madredeus (Portugal), Dulce Pontes (Portugal), Cesaria Evora (Cape Verde) and Brazilian musicians, singers and bands in general. I have some knowledge about singers and bands from other countries as weel, especially Spanish-speaking groups and singers, and I can certainly recommend some of them according to the person`s interests.

Experience

I am an amateur singers and songwritter.
