Question QUESTION: Hi:
I remember you once said something about writers groups to join. Could you give me a few good ones?
One agent writes on her site that she will get back with people only if interested. But she got back with me with a personal rejection note?
Thanks
ANSWER: There are a few good online groups I like.

As for the reply from the agent, a rejection is a rejection. Unless she specifically offered in her reply to look at it again, you shouldn't send it again. That doesn't mean you can't send a DIFFERENT book, but the one you queried is out. Sorry.
Hope that helps!

QUESTION: Thanks for the list. The agent asked for a one paragraph bio. I gave one sentence mentioning education. Is this okay?
I wrote it wrong. I meant that she wrote she would respond to queries only if interested, but wrote a personal rejection.
Answer Sure. That's okay, if you're happy with it.
Actually, you didn't write it wrong. I understood what you meant. But a personal rejection can't be construed as "interest" for this purpose unless she STATED she was and asked to see it again after revisions or such. Or were you asking a different question?
