Writing Books/Use of italics

Question
My question is about someone speaking over a radio.

The listener (where the scene is focused) is receiving orders from their commander miles away. Or the listener hears other units talking. Does the radio talk need to be italicized to indicate someone not physically in the scene is speaking?
Thank you for your time,
Scott

Answer
Hi, Scott!

If it were my book, I would. It just makes it easier for the reader (including agent/editor) to understand. Then, if the editor decides on something different, such as a different font or such, it's easy to do.  Hope that helps, and good luck!
