Question
I need to know what the page is called where you could find where an author thanks a person for helping him write a book. Thanks!!

Answer
I know why you are confused about what to title that page. You want to know whether to title the page Acknowledgements or Acknowledgments (without the extra e in the middle), because most of us have seen it both ways. If you are writing for a British-speaking market, the correct title for your "thank-you" page is this: Acknowledgements. Note the extra e. If you are writing for the American market, the page is labeled this way: Acknowledgments. Note that no e follows the g.
