Question
I have submitted a manuscript to several publishers.  In the meantime, I have changed my manuscript significantly. When is it appropriate to re-submit my manuscript to a publisher?

Dear Suzanne,
Thank you for your question. I know how you feel, believe me, but it would look unprofessional to re-submit your manuscript at this point. You have to grit your teeth and stand behind what you submitted.
Some publishers can see through a rough presentation to the gem that lies beneath.
You can try the same publishers again, but wait at least six months to a year after you hear from them.
There are many more publishers and agents to try in the meantime.
